Citing positive trends in all markets, CEO Scott Bickford indicated that the company is poised for a period of continued expansion in the air charter market. "We were really pleased with 2018 given that our growth came from a number of sectors. While our sports air charter business remains a mainstay, we also saw double digit growth in our other air charter markets."

One of the most pronounced areas of growth was in the commercial large aircraft air charter sector, whereby the company assists clients with arranging charter flights for large groups. Despite some fears of a looming recession reported in the press, Bickford is optimistic about 2019, citing strong first quarter earnings.

Attempts by competitors in the collegiate sports air charter market to roll out consolidation schemes have fallen flat, with no noticeable effect on Air Planning's revenue. "We haven't even seen a blip due to these consolidation fads. We believe that air charter consumers in the sports air charter market are very savvy and not easily misled," said Bickford. Consistent excellence in customer service and a true understanding of what customers really want is still the best way to lead the market.

Korea will begin production of its first satellite for the Korean Positioning System (KPS) ahead of a planned launch in September 2029, the space agency said Monday. BOK faces scrutiny over cybersecurity after staff data breach

The Bank of Korea (BOK) is facing scrutiny over its cybersecurity after the personal information of 186 employees was leaked in a hacking incident earlier this year, according to central bank's data submitted to Rep. Lee Jong-wook of the main opposition People Power Party (PPP), Monday. The breach occurred between May and June after hackers gained access to a GitHub system used by a contractor for the BOK's online training program. The leaked information included employees' names, email addresses, phone numbers, positions, duties and passwords. "We were notified by the contractor of the breach on June 11 and informed the affected employees the following day. We also reported the incident to the Personal Information Protection Commission," a BOK official said. The PPP lawmaker said the central bank should not take the leak of employees' personal information or repeated disruptions to its websites lightly.
